Talent and motivation are one thing, Glenn. Where one applies it is another. There are several fine sales executives now in their late thirties/early forties I promoted, worked with and admire greatly who are still slaving away at ABC Television, working longer hours than ever, and their retirement plans and options are tied Disney stock. I've been banging on them for years to get over to Yahoo or DoubleClick. I even spoke to TK about one of them, but he was too comfortable to move over in 1997! I'm willing to bet that you would be just as proud of your son if he were applying his considerable management skills at Amazon or eBay, and was up to his eyeballs in stock options.
