Hawking, yes. Steve Reeve(s?), yes. Multitudinous. Me, I have a personal story about 'finding that I was still alive' that goes back to the early 50's. I will not do it now. I lay there tractioned to the heavens and smiled, on first awakening, after the accident, because I thought of how many fellow humans would be kissing God's ass, for being alive, and I only felt it an ironic circumstance.
