Jim; I haven't read The Millionaire Next Door. Too depressing <g> But what you say sounds reasonable. I don't know how risky aggressive growth funds are. From my vantage point, maybe not very. So might be within the parameters of risk acceptable to a fairly cautious person? Also portfolio somehow implies a broker & I don't know how that might factor in. I do know someone who doesn't speculate, has a good broker & recently bought RHAT. Maybe his broker couldn't stop him...Or maybe some of these cautious types are being drawn in. You don't use the old TC2000 by any chance? I just heard it is not Y2K compliant, is not supported & will likely collapse in 11 days. It isn't my main program - well I'd better check their website. I can't believe they would abandon it. Dorothy
