Dear George, I am sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. I was in the midst of a huge file transfer and trying to avoid using my modem for fear of slowing it down even further. I absolutely resent your using a silly term like "goober" to describe yourself. My friends are not "goobers." Nor do I expect them all to share all of my interests. Relatively, pshaw! There are times in discussion with Neocon when I feel a perfect philistine. There are others when I can see that my own contribution is of worth and interest. We all have our own special perspectives. I enjoy the opera, the ballet, theater, museums--yes. I also enjoy a good funny movie when I can get my ass in gear to go to one, a long walk on a perfect autumn day, giggling silliness as well as serious stock discussion with people on SI--I can be a holy terror on the humor threads. I have never felt that I had to speak "pigeon" English to converse with you and I don't expect that I ever shall. Warm respect right back to you!
