MHighMan, agreed on all counts, but but but

I do anticipate that future topline and bottomline growth will see upside surprises as CDMA proliferates, and as devices proliferate

Ericsson deal was big on earnings push
Nokia deal on handset division will have similar effect, eh?
devoting resources to high margin CDMA chipset production will have enormous effects,
i.e. Intel Business Model

next up is the installation of Global Positioning Systems in automobiles, and the wide expansion of laptop and handheld PC wireless modems... I doubt today's earnings projections assign much growth to these products

we will see
one thing for sure: analysts have been grossly underestimating QCOM earnings

acquisition of a CDMA chip mfg firm will change the picture
we must expect this, since it is stated by mgmt on record

what do you expect QCOM mgmt to do with handset deal proceeds?
not a bonfire or corporate picnic, I assume
