WINSPEAR RESOURCES LTD. ANNOUNCES CORRECTION TO NORTHERN MINER ARTICLE

VANCOUVER, April 18 /CNW/ - Winspear Resources Ltd (WSP.) would like to issue a correction to an article that appeared in the Northern Miner on page 8 of its recent April 21 issue.

In this article which summarized the recently announced 107 metre intersection of kimberlite breccia obtained by Winspear Resources Ltd. (57.3%) (Winspear) and Aber Resources Ltd. (42.7%) in the Snap Lake area of the Camsell Lake property, the Northern Miner incorrectly reported as follows:

Caustic fusion analysis on the diamonds revealed several pyropes and a single coarse chromite grain.''

This incorrectly implied that caustic fusion analysis of the whole 107 metre kimberlite intersection produced only several pyropes and one cbromite grain.

Winspear would like to emphasize that no analyses have yet been done on this kimberlite intersection. The pyropes and chromite grain that were reported in a news release of April 15 as having been recovered to date from this intersection of kimberlite were picked out of the surface of the core while examining it in the field. This kimberlite intersection will be submitted for caustic fusion analyses and separation of indicator minerals following completion of detailed logging of the core.

The Northern Miner sincerely regrets any confusion that may result from this publication error which will be retracted and corrected in its next issue. However, Winspear considers that this more timely correction of the Northern Miner's publication error is appropriate.
