Access Power, Inc. (OTCBB:ACCR) is packaging its unique flat-rate PC-to-phone service and marketing it to other Internet long distance service providers in order to increase its "shelf space."

"It's like going to the grocery store shelf and seeing a choice of the brand name or the chain brand -- the manufacturer, the product and the quality are the same -- only the name is different," Douglas Bottomley, senior vice president of sales and marketing of Access Power, said.

Taking the grocery store example one step further, Bottomley said that as a provider of Internet long distance services, Access Power wants to get more shelf space. "Take a bottle of soda: a single manufacturer will sell its products to various stores, the store will put its label on it and call it their own. This allows the manufacturer to bring products to market where they may not have had a chance to find room on store shelves. Marketing our PC-to-phone flat rate services to other Internet service providers creates more 'room on the store shelf,'" Bottomley said.
