Security was a joke!

Yeah, I know that security measures are inadequately enforced at many airports. The security guards and inspectors are low-paid and normally poorly trained in detection and profiling techniques.

One suggestion I offer, and not meant to make people paranoid, is that if you must travel overseas during the holidays, don't take the whole family on one plane. Take different flights.

A friend of mine who is a retired "investigator" has made it a habit that he, his wife, and two sons never take overseas trips on the same flight.

Lessens the statistical probability of losing the whole family to either a terrorist act, or aircraft malfunction.

Life is a risk each and every day (drive in DC and you'd understand what I mean.. :0) Don't live life in fear of what might happen, but taking normal precautions is always prudent and costs little more in time and money.

Regards,

Ron
