Hi kash:

I respect your comments but I think you underestimate the progress made to date by AMD's Athlon. It is well-loved in the marketplace and in a very short time span has proven itself as a worthy champion in the minds of burgeoning by the day consumers!

I'm sure that the latest "promised few" by Intel on paper can perhaps be produced at a competitive price by I'm not holding my breath. The "spry Athy" has already proven it can move up the MHz gradient from 500 to 750 without significant incremental cost. INTC's performance in its attempts at keeping pace by boosting PWeeIII performance have not been convincing to date and in fact appear to have resulted in enormous signifcant incremental costs, both from a production and marketing perspective.

I'm just not convinced the PWeeIII has enough headroom left to keep pace with the Athlon. The PWeeIII has shown the signs of a burnt out champion over the past 3 months!
