Date from Hell: Just ran across this thread, so I figured I'd post mine... First, you need to know the premise: I'm very color-blind. When I was young, I had this beautiful brown Datsun 200SX, that I pampered the way only a man would pamper a car. If it got a little rock chip on it, I daubed my ever-handy brown touch-up paint on the spot and rubbed it out. A couple of years into my ownership of that car, and shortly after I'd done a major engine buildup, I was on a date and said something about the car (as only a man would do on a first date) and how I loved that shade of brown. Her reply was something to the effect of "Brown?!? This car is the ugliest shade of baby-[stuff] green I've ever seen and it's got little brown splotches all over it!" This coming March marks our 13th wedding anniversary. Oh, and I painted the car black shortly after that and later used it as a parts hack to build up a nice blue one. Bob
