I am a retired journalist and university professor (economics/Stanford) so many of the young "upstarts" also known as "start ups" are former students. I dabble a bit in selected tech stocks.
As I mentioned, I am new to this SI service. I had hoped that people paying for something would make it more valuable than the run-of-the-mill investing chat rooms, and we would not have what I have heard called "flaming." Looks like that isn't true.
I have invested in SUNW since 1984 and have a very positive outlook on it for the future. I also own AOL, TXN INTC, JDSU, C, DELL, GTW, ANCR, EMC, ORCL, IBM and some non-techs.
I'm not going to read your posts (Twister) anymore. I thought they were interesting until the code one - then I realized they were not interesting at all. I doubt that you will lose any sleep over my departure. I would have been nice to have friendly agreement to disagree on various topics. but alas, as I used to say to disruptive students, "Out of my class....Whine to your parents!" One of the rare luxuries of a private institution.
So, until my three months are up, I am enjoying the other posts....and doing my ironing.
