Must-Read article on CD-RW - Very Important

yahoo.cnet.com

It looks like Zip is in real, serious trouble. CD-RW is projected to be built-in more than 30% of PC's sold in December. And the biggest selling, most popular combo is a DVD drive with a CD-RW- NO ZIP. CD-RW built-in is doubling in percentage every month or so. Within a few months, virtually every home PC sold could have a CD-RW drive Standard.

CD-RW is gaining tremendous strength and as a result Zip drives are being left on the shelves at OEM's. It looks like Compaq and/or Hewlett-Packard may soon Standardize ALL of the their PC's wit CD-RW. This can only hurt all-important Zip disk and drive sales for Iomega. And Iomega depends on Zip in order to survive.
