It's partly because it is taking time for AMD to build up a large volume demand for the very high end parts, but face it - they are having no problems with production sufficient to meet demand. Intel is having such problems - and the OEMs are learning a lesson about which suppliers are reliable and which aren't(the lesson is: neither is always reliable, and either is sometimes reliable, and that's a big loss for Intel and a big win for AMD).
