Hi Mary,

Here is the link to the Dec. 16th press release announcing the approved split.
biz.yahoo.com

Here is an excerpt from the release which spells out the specifics. I'm not used to seeing a delayed split on two exchanges. It's a bit of a pain in that it requires changing my electronic portfolio numbers twice.

Welcome aboard!

"The Exchangeable Shares will commence trading on a post-split basis on The Toronto Stock Exchange on December 20, 1999. The Common Stock will continue to trade on Nasdaq on a pre-split basis, under the symbol ``JDSU,' until December 29, 1999, when the Common Stock will commence trading on a post-split basis under such symbol. Additionally, during the period from December 20, 1999, through December 28, 1999, the Common Stock will also trade on Nasdaq on a post-split basis, under the symbol ``JDSUV.'"
