IMHO, Somehow Chambers and CSCO make the right moves. For all it's yacked about, Optical still has a ways to go before it really rolls into production in a meaningful way (3-5 years). If SUNW can employ programmers in the CIS, if MSFT can run a technology center in India then I'm certain CSCO can accomplish what it needs to in Italy. After all, this is the internet age. Optical Design by the Italian core, Integration by CSCO/Italian teams, eventual flexible manufacturing in the US. Are you ready? Obviously, Forbes isn't.
