ahhaha, > If you have the throughput to achieve ubiquitous 3 mbps service, QoS is obviated. Isn't that in itself QoS? I know that I don't get anywhere near the 1.5m that my DSL line promises. If the content being served is on the network (broadband content hosting directly by ATHM) and throughput rates can be assured to the end of the fiber and onto the coax and if the coax isn't oversubscribed then isn't that a form of QoS? By QoS I'm picturing a movie that I'm watching that doesn't stop every 30 seconds, replaced by an hourglass. KB
