Vol - The interesting part is not what people are going to do with their near term calls, but when they are going to do it. I can't remember the last time I was this perplexed, unless it was tonight as to why I was with that woman, but then that's another story. WHEN WILL PEOPLE PULL THE TRIGGER? Maybe in quite a big way. This will be downward pressure on the stock price. 2. At and around this time the handset deal is going to get announced. The silence is deafening and is usually indicates that Dr Jacobs is going to surprise us....nicely....very nicely. This would IMHO tend to eliminate and downward pressure on the stock price caused by 1. above. 3. Remember a little comment that Gregg Powers made in one of his last posts. He said if I remember correctly that the last quarter of this year was going to be very interesting and I believe it was revenues and earnings that he was referring to. Someone on the thread already posted that more mobile phones are sold in the last quarter than any other quarter and maybe more than more than tow other quarters combined. My guess is that we are once again going to get a nice surprise from this area as well. 4. It now looks like G* is getting rolling after so long. We may see some really positive news/ upgrades/coverage in January. 5. The movie thing has been quite quiet and my guess is that that is due for a bit of movement in the New Year. 6. The big move is wireless internet and Q is at the center. This whole sphere of activity is going to be the subject of almost monthly deals, announcements, partnerships, JVs new products and new services. Q is at the center and is indeed the reasion why a number of its suppliers and partners stock prices are climbing dramatically. Points 2 to 6 above will IMHO be the cause of a number of broker upgrades, coverages starts and reccomendations over the next few weeks and that should give a nice underpinning to the QCOM price if nothing else.
