John, I read the Barron's and am actually almost relieved it came out. With all this talk about what a "sweet" deal this is for the tobacco industry, the anti-tobacco people were upping their demands right and left. If they think they are crippling the industry, they are more apt to settle, ultimately. I see no way to avoid great volatility at this stage. But I don't dare try to jump in and out, since each day brings such surprises. Unless one thrives on intensity, he/she should be investing elsewhere. I know this stock will test my pain threshold big time. However, I think in the long run it wil be a good holding for my husband and myself, and I will be sticking with MO well into retirement. Please keep posting; I think it is very helpful for all concerned to keep abreast of developments.
