BRCD appears to be a "Gorilla in the Making."

Hi Steve:

I see from your profile you have only rarely, if ever, posted here. Please review the thread header. If you would like to join the intelligent discussion here, you need to RTFM, and speak in gorilla-ese, or at least make the effort.

Brocade has been on the outer limits of our radar screen here. This thread values the Storage market, and its participants, with heavy emphasis on EMC and NTAP. I see you own EMC. We have heard of Brocade, and have an inkling of what was posted in the article you referenced. We would be delighted if you or another would like to make an intelligent pitch, employing G. Moore's terms, on Brocade.

Just reading the article, there is nothing in it that suggests Brocade is a gorilla candidate. Does it have a "lock", does it have IPR? Does it have a value chain, that stakes its own products' survival on that of Brocade?
Without these questions answered, Brocade would be another royalty play. LindyBill has called for detailed analyses on the potential "Young Kings". It is up to you to present the case for it in that light.

We await your substantive contribution on this.
