IGC GROWTH SPURS SEARCH FOR NEW AUDITING FIRM
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Dec 17, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Interactive Gaming & Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: SBET) (IGC) announced today that it has accepted the resignation of its former auditing firm, Parente, Randoph, Orlando, Carrey and Associates, LLC. The auditing firm cited IGC's recent growth in size and the downsizing of the firm's SEC related work as the reason for the resignation.
IGC is currently interviewing several of the "Top 5" and other national auditing firms for a new relationship. The company does not expect this to cause a delay in their financial filings, or have any other adverse effect. Parente, Randoph, Orlando, Carrey and Associates, LLC will be working with the new accounting firm to complete IGC's year-end filings in a timely manner.
