Management Biographies Dynamic Broadband Networks has built a professional management team with experience in both data and cable networking. Collectively, the team has approximately 50 years of networking experience and over 50 years of broadcast distribution service experience. DANIEL E. GOLD CHAIRMAN AND CEO Dan Gold is a forty-year veteran radio, television and cable television executive who has been a lawyer, Congressional staff member, and manager of radio and television operations throughout the United States. He is the former president, Cable Television Division, of Century Communications and has held top management positions with several broadcasting and communications companies, including Knight Ridder Broadcasting, Comcast Cable Communications, CBS, and Post-Newsweek Stations. STEPHEN M. GETZ CO-FOUNDER, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Mr. Getz has been a founder of two companies prior to forming Dynamic Broadband Networks. Mr. Getz was co-founder of Vortex Systems, a developer of continuous backup technology for the protection of mission critical data on networked computers. Vortex Systems was sold to NetFRAME Systems, where Mr. Getz acted as director of the DataJET business unit. NetFRAME Systems sold the DataJET product line to Cheyenne Software, where Mr. Getz acted as director of Cheyenne's Performance Products Group. Mr. Getz was also founder, CEO, and president of Workhorse Systems. JAMES A. HORTON CO-FOUNDER, VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING Mr. Horton has comprehensive technical expertise, gathered over more than 15 years of storage and communications system design. Mr. Horton was a co-founder of Vortex Systems where he developed the award-winning RetroChron continuous backup system and the first software RAID tape backup system for Novell servers-DataJET. Before co-founding Dyband, Mr. Horton was manager of DataJET product research at NetFRAME Systems where he ported DataJET to the NetFRAME platform. Subsequently, he was the manager of engineering for Cheyenne's JETserve product line. While a member of the Digital Design Group at Air Products and Chemicals, Mr. Horton designed and managed the implementation of customized data acquisition and control systems, and real-time control systems. He holds a patent for a liquefied gas telemetry system. MICHAEL J. ROSS CO-FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Prior to co-founding Dynamic Broadband Networks, Mike Ross was manager of Investor Relations and Mergers and Acquisitions for Cheyenne Software, directing the purchase of the DataJET product line from NetFRAME Systems. Mike was responsible for the successful integration and product launch of the DataJET product, now named JETserve. Prior to joining Cheyenne, he was with Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He has also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on the Budget, International Affairs/National Defense Division, and served as a political aide in Japan's Lower House in Tokyo. GERI K. GLEESON VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING Geri Gleeson has over 17 years' experience in marketing and business administration, including extensive product positioning, brand development, and demand generation in the high-tech industry. Most recently she served as the vice president of marketing for ISLIP Media, a leading developer of network-based, searchable digital media libraries, where she launched the company and its initial products. Prior to that, Geri was a director of marketing for FORE Systems, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of high performance ATM networks. She has developed and directed major advertising, public relations, and direct marketing programs, sales and reseller service programs, product and company launches, corporate and industry events, and traditional collateral and electronic communication initiatives. SCOTT W. SEARCY VICE PRESIDENT OF TECHNICAL SERVICES Most recently, Mr. Searcy held the position of Director of Technical Services with Dyband. Prior to joining Dyband, Mr. Searcy served as Sr. Manager, Technical Marketing, for FORE Systems. He was responsible for implementing network architectures and applications around FORE's ATM product line in support of their sales and marketing efforts. Prior to FORE Systems, Mr. Searcy held several positions at Intel, the last of which was Manager of Technical Marketing within Intel's Architecture Lab division. In that capacity, he managed a team that developed demonstrations supporting executive management activities focused on corporate initiatives such as Computer Supported Collaboration, videoconferencing and microprocessor product launches. Mr. Searcy has also been responsible for managing software development at Amdata, a manufacturer of NDT imaging systems. |
