jttmab, i understand that on the contrary, the full effects of the y2k bug will only be discernible after a few weeks time...i have to admit though that by and large i'm as much in the dark about this as the next guy. all i know for certain is that the global economy has become highly interdependent and that there are many countries where the likelihood of massive y2k related failures is very high. so i rather doubt that it's really going to be a non-event. regards, hb
