OT Jean: >... approximately 38.6% or so, with NO allowance for LT or ST capital gains... My eyes popped when I read this one. There seems to be absolutely no incentives for a person to be a long-term, buy and hold type in Canada. Hopefully some smart politician will some day see the light and encourage LTBH as good for the economy and lobby for a tax break. Glad I live down here at tax time! Regards, Lynn
