SeaView Outlines Major Marketing Changes
ST. PETERSBURG, FL --SeaView Video Technology Inc. (OTC BB: SEVU, SEVUE) today announced that SEC filings are proceeding on schedule, and CEO Rich McBride outlined a major marketing change. SecureView (TM) the light bulb camera will come out of backorder status and into production, with the first units going to consumers who placed advanced orders for the product. To meet retail store buyers requirements, weve been working to downsize the SecureView (TM) design, which adds to development costs and extends our timeline. Its frustrating to have an unadvertised product with a current waiting list of over one thousand! The company currently produces a larger floodlight model, which is about two inches longer and an inch wider than a standard floodlight bulb. The mass-retail model will be almost indistinguishable from a standard GE PAR-38 floodlight (GE is in fact the contract supplier for the case components). Current orders, McBride says, are from the $599 test pricing, allowing us a sizable profit and, more importantly, a revenue generator for completing Stage Two R&D. McBride indicated the company intends to start building and shipping the current larger model as early as next month. A thousand units at $499 equates to $500,000 in gross sales, with an estimated cost of sales around $120,000, he stated. The company currently has a SecureView Infrared black-and-white as well as a full-color model, and audio has been working from the beginning. This move will generate immediate cash flow and increase user base, says Arch Cook, Sales Manager. "The education methodology is much like our underwater cameras...the more consumers understand, the more they're willing to buy. SecureView (TM) is just this simple: screw the light-bulb camera into any socket, plug the decoder in next to your TV--or several TVs--and you're watching 420 lines of sharp, clear picture. It takes about three minutes to do--and part of that is walking back to the TV! (Check out and order products at www.seaviewresearch.com) Besides revenue, the greatest result is education prior to the product showing up in stores, adds McBride. Its only a matter of time--the world will know who we are. We were third on the list at Profitpicks.com yesterday, and Xcel Associates posted an article. [http://www.xcelassociates.com] The Department of Defense is interested, says J. R. Cox, Vice President. Our January rep group meetings will center on DOD contracts. Given the difference between ships and boats, the Army actually has a lot more boats than the Navy. Underwater cameras and SecureView (TM) make a perfect security team. The Marine Division will be boosted in first quarter with SeaView boat-show bookings tripling over last year. January alone will find SeaView present in Atlanta, Cleveland, Tampa, Houston, and Nashville. Additional Yellow Submarines (the famous bright yellow SeaView vans) will visit Marine and Tackle stores en route, with new road teams added to the sales staff. We have enough products in our sales bag to make it worthwhile, says Cox, and people buy when they can see it all work. A safe and happy holiday from everyone at Team SeaView.
