tekboy: On learning. Once Avril Harriman was asked why he seemed to have the reputation of being wise. He said I have lived a long life and during it I have made just about every mistake a man can make, and I hope I have learned from them. That is where my "experience" has come from and whatever "wisdom" that has come along with it. Having made just about every investing mistake possible myself, I admire your willingness to learn by doing. Ain't nuttin like it. And the lessons are learned well if the pain is great.
