Second Hand Info. I must tell you honestly that your information is lacking ( as it has been several times before ). But I'm glad to know that YOU weren't the one (this time) hunting for anything that could be turned into something negative to bash Robert White. You're so good at skimming the surface of information. You know - that old basher rule of 10% fact and 90% fiction.( It's like when you conveniently confused the Robert White CEO of MLRE with some Robert White that sold a Kennedy collection. A coincidence that suited you perfectly!) Ha! You are a sly one! ;-) Now I would be a secondary source for info on the Platinum subject as well ( I would've been in junior high(?) when Platinum came out). My information comes from what I heard and from the copies of the magazine that I have in my little archives. Mr. Bear, you should just ask Robert White yourself if it is that important to you - just as I prefer to go straight to "the bear" when I am curious about something concerning you. That way there is no confusion, or half truths, or channel noise, or rumor etc. etc. (It's like the time you got so upset about that bartending rumor. I only teased you once on ANOTHER board (SLNN) because it was so cute ;-) and I didn't see it as being a negative anyway.) Besides...I understand that the 2 times you spoke with Mr. White in the past, he answered all your questions and you were content. I must say that I was surprised to see you then continue to bash him!...But I guess this is your job?? Of course, you could also ask autocard? I believe he was around during those Platinum years - you seem to like him and trust him (as you've said before). Mr. Bear, I really do not understand your personal hatred for Robert White - a hatred that is most apparent to everyone. You've never met him. If you ever did you would agree with me that he is the nicest person you will ever meet in your life - next to me of course! ;-). And he is most accessible for a C.E.O. How many others would take the time to talk to people just hunting for info ( for whatever reason ) and certainly those who have stated that they will never be a stockholder? Will you ever change your mind? This hatred you have for him is as much a curiosity as the hatred Mr. Floydie seems to have for Steve... Robert White did start the Robb Report and Platinum - that's a concrete fact that will never change - regardless of how sour and angry it makes some folks. They were both unique and ahead of there time as far as magazines go - IMHO. And yes, I do know that Platinum was published at the tail end of the years Mr. White published the Robb Report before he SOLD them both. I hope this has been some help to you. :-) Now what about my questions Mr. Bear? And where is the Captain's Table? Is that over on the south end of the island? Well - take care teddy bear! ;-) And if I don't speak to you before the holidays - I hope they are very Merry!
