Flatsville, I recently exchanged emails with an old friend whose multinational company sent him to Thailand a couple of years ago to head up their operations in that part of the world. Since he's living there and has a computer background, I thought he'd be a good source for what's going on with Y2K.

He clearly isn't concerned about it. He told me that his company is in good shape, he has been assured by the locals that the infrastructure is in good shape, and, anyway, the official year in Thailand is 2542 so much of Thailand is indifferent to our big doin's.

I see by your message that Thailand is on the "better prepared" list. Perhaps that is so.
