OT CYCODE INSTRUCTIONS ENCLOSED

I pieced together some info from bill on the hill and monty and others for these instructions:

Step #1: You must have some sort of zip file program. If you have a zip file program and know how to use, continue to step #2. Else download the free winzip:
"For those that are downloading the Cycode encryption program and have found that they do not have a zip file in order to unzip the download here is a site that has a free download of a zip program. You will have to have the zip program in order to finish installing after downloading Cycode.
winzip.com

The evaluation copy is free and is enough to do what you need. Once again I install mine in a folder called download so that I can find them after downloading. Make sure you remember where you put them so you may find them afterwards. Remember that stuff called paper. I make notes because I know how absent minded I am."

Step #2: Download the cycode zip file. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE PUTTING IT! (I recommend a separate directory like c:/download for these type procedures)

flint.tucows.com

Else, follow Monty's instructions to find where you put it:
"in Windows 95 or 98 it is easier if you downloaded it to your desktop (c:\desktop). If it is not there then click on "start" then click on "run" and type in "explorer" (no""marks) and click "ok". Then click on the "tools" menu then hover over the "find" then click on "files or folders"
(Fill in Name) cycode.zip

(Look in) C

(search subdirectories) check with X

Then click on "find now" and the file should appear in the lower window.

Step #3: Load Software to your system (from Monty): "If you have already installed winzip then you can just double click on the file called cycode to install the program"

If you have say pkzip instead of winzip, you would then click on the Setup program in the unzipped files to finish installation.

STEP #4: Start the program through probably your Program pull down - look for Cycode (it has a gold key).

Step #5: Run a Test on this string (password is hot):
uF+UZ+disVUiP7JMznyNy4C6X8s+mrrhdpR3Q7XBAAAetl01hrvFt4xz7A9WcSo43XM/XFBiP1A=

NOTE: When running the Cycode Program. It comes up with Encoded Text on the left side, and Decoded Text on the right side. Copy this string into the Encoded Text, Press the >Decode> button at bottom of screen, enter password hot into dialog box, hit enter and decoded message should now be in the Decoded Text box.

NOTE2: In the pull downs at the top under Encoded and Decoded the last option is Clear which clears the respective screen and come in handy.

That should be about it.

Step #6: Send Wicked Messages to your associates!! Make sure they know your password! Really cool stuff!

Any questions, PM me or the others that said they could help.
