I disagree with some of your comments here. Does Microsoft have competition? In the office suite? I don't really think so... Corel is trying and I wish them luck, but I wouldn't bet any money that they'll be able to grab any significant market share from Microsoft. Without that, I believe they'll be hard pressed to survive.

I beg to differ also on your comment that most people steal DOS and Windows anyway... the vast majority of people get the machine which has a paid license and use it. Microsoft has created a monopolistic situation.

Someone else in this thread stated that Microsoft hasn't abused it's power as well. If that were truly the case, you wouldn't being seeing the juggernaut of "abm" feelings... Anyone But Microsoft.

Since I program computers for a living, I work and deal with Microsoft software. Microsoft is where IBM was in the 1960s when it gotten broken up. In today's climate I don't think that Microsoft is going to get nailed similar to the way IBM did. That's life.
