I'm curious as to how and where JP Morgan obtained the data that allows them to make these unsubstantiated predictions. Lucent has never failed to make earnings estimates, and I doubt they will fail now. It seems that these people (JP Morgan) and people like them can make any claims they desire without citing any facts. Does anyone know how and where they obtain their information? Do they have 'moles' in management? Are they privy to confidential information? And are they accountable if they screw up?

To me, this type of stuff is 90% guesswork and 10% inference. I wouldn't believe any of it, unless they show the numbers on which their conclusions are based, and indicate where and how the numbers were obtained.
