Lehman strikes me as pretty sharp in this area. AFAIK they were the first US broker to recommend Softbank. Their estimated future prices have always been exceeded. Now they are estimating 100,000 i.e. about $1000 in November 2000. If you bought at 63000 you could make 60% in 11 months if they are right. What makes me think it could hit 63,000 for a moment? The generally poor condition of the Japanese economy. But the future has to be bright for a company that is the largest internet company in Japan and one of the largest in the U.S. I like the incubation model. That's where the biggest money is, I think. A while back I sold some CMGI and bought Softbank and that turned out to be the wrong move but I do think the future is bright for Softbank,ICGE,SFE and CMGI, all four of the great incubators, i.e. venture capital stocks. I also own the well known tech stocks, CSCO,EMC,NTAP,QCOM,JDSU,VRTS etc. Good luck, asegal. |
