But it is possible to differentiate between things that ARE observable- things in the material world, and things that are not observable, the spiritual world. For example- gather a group of people together and ask them what color the grass is - they may all see a different color of green (eyes being subjectively different) but a majority will see some variant of green (adjusting for people with colorblindness- who will see some other color in common with other who have that disability).

But if you ask people the color of God- are any of them going to be thinking exactly the same thing? There is nothing for them to look at, there is not a form in the material world which can act as any sort of constant- no matter how imperfect that constant might be.
