So, you were saying? What DB are you using that is royalty free?

Actually, the one I'm using now is DBISAM. It's great for a small number of users, costs a couple hundred dollars (one-time fee), and links in with the .exe. Reasonably good SQL support, and great tech support. A client-server version is due out shortly. But this is not a DB you'd use with large-scale applications, obviously.

There are also numerous other databases that, while requiring user royalties, are less expensive than IB.
