Limited (Nasdaq: RIMM , TSE: RIM) today announced it has signed a new
agreement to supply the RIM Inter(at)ctive(TM) Pager 950 to BellSouth Wireless
Data. Under the terms of the agreement, RIM will supply 100,000 units to
BellSouth Wireless Data with shipments scheduled to begin in April, 2000. The
agreement also details provisions to accommodate potential additional orders
placed by BellSouth Wireless Data.
The award-winning RIM Inter(at)ctive Pager 950 is sold in conjunction with the
BellSouth Interactive PagingSM Service across the United States. The RIM
Inter(at)ctive Pager 950 is a revolutionary two-way pager that allows users to both
send and receive full-length, error-free, alphanumeric messages with guaranteed
delivery. Users can create custom e-mail, faxes, alphanumeric pages and
text-to-voice messages from the palm of their hand.
