I have a Dell XPS 200. I will check my books in the morning but both hard drives are listed under primary in the bios setup. O and 1 . The secondary is the Cd Rom.

I have explored the bios on a Dell before and could not find a bios boot harddrive selection. I believe Dell uses Intel boards (which do have the option) You would probably have to flash the mobo bios with Intel bios..definately NOT recommended.

Your ALT trick seems like the best solution unless you want to install a boot manager.

How's the cats ?

Zeus has recovered well from his plumbing job. Spice is doing fine. The Advantage flea treatment has done wonders. No more itching, no more fleas. They only need a treatment about twice a year (indoor cats).
