I am not a big fan of C3 "fake diamonds", but this Christmas I was going to buy my wife some C3's (ear rings, 1 carat each, set in platinum) as a stocking stuffer. After calling my uncle who is the largest insurance replacement diamond broker in the SE and searching the web high and low there are none available. Everything over .5 carats was sold out. They weren't giving them away either. Each 1 carat SiC was roughly $550 each, no setting.

I guess I'm starting to like this part of the business. It may turn out to be, diesel fuel, by product. As long as it makes money I don't care.

Next availability as far as I could tell was sometime in March.

Merry Christmas
