Dick As you saw from the list of systems, you can lose if you trust the wrong system. There are many parts to the game. Lets say you can't pick stocks based on all the things said in the last three years. And back in 1987, you pick IBM, and went from 176 to 40 and then in 94 it started moving again. lets say you did it because you worked for company, and you got in at top. 10 years later you aren't even if you are still holding. You fell in love with it, it was a value/blue chip/etc.; CNBC talked about it nearly everyday. A guy back in 87 told you " I wouldn't touch it but if you do, use DAHL. What happened if you did? You made 41% and stayed out nearly 1/4 time. Terrible, but you picked the stock. The system let you survive, your poor choice.
