NEWS RELEASE
ROYCE GROUP DIAMOND PROJECT, NWT UPDATE
GMD Resource Corp. (the "Company") has received an information update on the Royce Group Diamond Project, situated 150 km north northwest of Yellowknife, NWT from Monopros Limited, the operator.
Following a 1,148 glacial till sampling program that was carried out between July and September, 1999 the till samples were transported to Monopros' Val d'Or, Quebec facility for screening and washing. Dense media separation (DMS) of samples has been completed at Monopros' Toronto laboratory and the resulting concentrates have been sent to Monopros' Toronto sorting facility and De Beers' Kimlab sorting facility located in Kimberley, South Africa. Concentrates are being sorted for kimberlite indicator minerals and positive grains will undergo microprobe analysis. Results are expected in January 2000 and will be reported at that time.
A winter program of airborne geophysical surveys will be planned once sample results have been reviewed followed by an expected diamond drill program to test selected targets. The camp at Spirit Lake, situated in the center of the Royce Group, has been prepared for a winter program.
