The Wed., 22 Dec '99 WSJ's 'Abreast of the Market' column on page C2, in its last paragraph, says, "Electronics for Imaging gained 3 to 57 1/2 on Nasdaq. PaineWebber issued an upbeat report about the San Mateo, Calif., maker of desktop publishing systems, saying that recent concerns about the company's links to Xerox have been overblown. Xerox, which has been under pressure since warning about coming earnings weakness, fell 1/8 to 20 3/4 and continues to trade near a 52-week low of 19 reached Dec. 10."

I haven't read the PW report but had heard elsewhere about the possible over-reaction re: Xerox. Anybody out there have a sense of how Xerox and IBM (and other printer sellers) are doing with their ultra high end machines now and are likely to do in the near future (say, this QTR and the next two)?

Regards,
Harry
