JB doesn't belong? Are you nuts? He was the single most successful RB in history. Considering he played a shorter schedule than today's guys do, and only played 7 years (versus about 10-12 today), he was a monster. He played with less padding, more intensity and was far more versatile.
HE should've been the first Black Heisman winner. 56 points in a game? Give me a break!
I know 2 people who played against him. 1 lacrosse, 1 football. They said he was fearsome, and built like a brick house. These guys are BIG...and I mean BIG. Maybe not like the Fridge is big...but I wouldn't have wanted to run into them in a dark alley. Still, they said Brown would just as soon run over you as around you and he could do it, too. He played multiple sports, but stuck with football. And, he had some (very limited) acting ability. Not bad. Not bad at all. #4....sounds about right. |
