I'll tell you exactly how.

First Cisco won't push anyone out of the carrier market in the next few years, because get it through your thick skull, everyone wins in the next few years!

Second, Cisco's outstanding management team is nimble and expert and choosing the right acquisitions to get them into new markets. They have a proven track record on this.

Third, with pooling of interest gone, the one's to really lose big on this will be Lucent and Nortel, because if the game is about acquisitions, Cisco has more money, more market cap, and less debt. All of these things favor Cisco in a race to acquire new markets.

Fourth, I AM talking about the future -- a future with Cisco, Nortel, and Lucent splitting a $200 billion pie.
