The most interesting idea I have heard is to allow Microsoft total freedom in pricing... but to mandate large price reductions on all old versions after a set period, perhaps 18 months. That way, if MSFT actually (ahem) 'innovates', and if new versions are better than old ones, they'll stay rich. If not, well.. -g- -mb
