Annette,

I can certainly understand your frustration if this rumor of IB being cut is true. But the database market has changed, even in the last week or so. Last week Oracle announced it was cutting prices by 40% to go after middle to small size business. There is also a lot of other competition in this area and although IB has some great technology and Borland/Inprise has not marketed it to the level that they could have, I don't see it as a product that is crucial to the current business plan. That said, I would like to see Inprise get some value out of it and make the right decision so they don't screw the current IB customers and developers.
Just my take on it and until I see an official announcement, I'm going to consider this a rumor..

Dennis
