Post says Mainframe seen as undervalued

Mainframe Entertainment Inc MFE
Shares issued 17,348,182 Dec 21 close $1.80
Wed 22 Dec 99 In the News
The Financial Post reports in its Wednesday edition that Mainframe
Entertainment is a top stock pick of Tom Antony, vice-president at RT
Capital Management of Toronto. Buy & Sell columnist Sonita Horvitch notes
the stock, currently $1.80, has a 52-week range of $3.20 to $1.30. Mr.
Antony says that Mainframe has excellent technology but it has had some
management issues. He says the good news is that Imax has closed its
$16-million investment in Mainframe. Also, Mainframe is expected to
disclose that it has signed some contracts for a new series of shows. He
says that at present, the company is barely profitable, but this could turn
around quickly as its business increases. Overall, Mr. Antony says that
technology stocks will remain an excellent investment over the long haul
because of the high growth prospects underpinning them, but they could
undergo short-term turbulence because there are speculative elements in the
market. He says the large capitalization technology stocks have had a
tremendous run this year, which reflects the recognition that the world is
going through a technology revolution, driven by the Internet and wireless
communications.
