Good morning! About that bottled water thingy? They're doing that here too. Buying it all. But the cool part of this small town is the water dept guy (who I know, of course) esplained the town's "water situation" to everybody:
"There are no computers in your water."
"The water's in the mountain back there, and then the stream, and then it goes in that tube, and comes out here, unless I turn this thing here. This thing here is locked with this chain; I'm your only bug; and I'm taking New Years off."
So, apparently unless gravity reverses at the same time, midnight on the 31st, and the water starts running back up stream into the mountains, we're going to be okay.
You'd be floating off into space though, and have other immediate problems.
But you never know.
It could happen.
It's got me worried.
You should hear my Techie. Boy, he gives the Sermon on the Mount, sans compassion. He doesn't like "believers."
Jeepers ~ he doesn't. I'm embarrassed for how rational he is in a crowd sometimes. And he's there a lot. Thousands of smashed toes. Absolutely NO inhibitions or concern for people's pet stupidities. It's.....uhm.....practically astounding. Shocking. Funny, but creepy. You feel like you can hear people say, "Can he do that? Can he say stuff that's mean just because he's right? Can he make us look like idiots who can't think things through who are wasting everyone's time? Huh? Somebody arrest that guy. He's.....a voice of reason. We don't need those around here. He's making us feel bad."
Still, ya gotta love him.
I do. Really. He's a great friend, too, and I'm very proud of him.
He always calls me by my last name.
He sent me another pic of Willow the kitty. I'll see if I can post it.
Gotta go to the big city all day, and I am sorry to be, because I really feel like staying and playing, right here. Is that a good sign, or what? Cool.
