The SW has scooped pretty good deal with AT&T, IW is in Wireless Alliance which includes both companies SW and AT&T. Some suggest that it is a matter of time for IW to have a next big thing coming from Alliance members which could be AT&T as well. AT&T is part of Revolv service from Wireless Knowledge, therefore IW has ties with their business. It it surprising how little attention was placed on RAM deal, I guess investors viewed this as extension of BellSouth connection. Maybe it is a low key compared to Atlantic Bell still the entry of European market, yet limited, by Mobitex support, is a sign of huge potential, BellSouth has business in GSM in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. Infowave will support this network in year 2000, maybe as soon as 3Q or even earlier. I would not forget about Vodafone European interests. It is a logical assumption that Atlantic merging its wireless operations with VOD, will extend IW offerings to those operations in North America as well as in Europe. Don't forget also about GTE wireless assets which will become joint with Bell Atlantic's in January 2000. IW is maybe cooking on small fire at the moment, as far as market measure goes, it is covering pretty nicely the whole pot of opportunity. If they can get Sprint or/and AT&T for their channels, this will be a probably the largest coverage offered by one company in wireless messaging software. Add NAsdaq listing to this and today's trading will be a memory of times which will never return. |
