Bruce, I had the same impression as you. That many of Tencor's test tools are integrated into the Fab; support the drive toward automation to a larger degree than the current set of tools from the competition; and that they are used after most steps in creating an IC. Perhaps one of our more knowledgeable readers could share the whole truth ;<) with us...
