MG Natural Resources Announces Patent Approved

PHOENIX, Dec 22, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Patent for Treated Ore Approved

MG Natural Resources Corp. Wednesday announced that it has received
notice from the U.S. Patent Office in the form of a "Notice of
Allowance" that its first patent application has been approved.

It should issue early in the year 2000. The allowed claims provide the
company with broad-based patent protection for a uniquely treated
(processed) ore that contains precious metals including gold, silver,
and platinum group metals. The processed ore is obtained by converting
refractory (difficult to assay and extract) ore to an ore form that
responds more favorably with traditional precious metals analytic and
extraction methods.

This new form of processed ore was invented and produced using an
innovative technological method invented by Alvin C. Johnson, Ph.D. The
patent was assigned to MG Natural Resources. The company has a second
"pending patent application" for the method of producing the treated
ore. MG continues to conduct research and development by Johnson and
his laboratory team.

Through their work, MG has created additional new precious metal
technological inventions that the company believes are important and
for which additional patent protections may be sought. Johnson is a
corporate director, chief technical director and a major shareholder of
MG.

Corporate Goals

The company has reoriented its strategic plan to focus entirely on
the development of the gold, silver, and platinum group technological
intellectual property being developed by Johnson. MG believes that this
technology is potentially so important and so valuable that all other
opportunities available to MG are insignificant in comparison.

The technology has application to the company's Sinagua and Sticklizard
properties but as importantly, to many other refractory ore properties
as well. To further this end, the company has raised money through a
private placement of stock, sold unrelated assets and cleared the
balance sheet of most debt.

The company has established for itself a strategic plan laid out in a
set of goals that have been listed under "Management" on the company's
web site at mg-resources.com.
