Hi R, Agreed that the taxes are an issue for me as well. '99 was a great year, but unfortunately (from a tax point of view) I had a record number of my stocks bought out for CASH. So 1999 is going to be a bonus year for Uncle Sam.

I've jumped the risk envelope that I use for GENE up to a more current outlook on the stock and will again start to trade around my core holding. I don't expect any more taxable events this year. I have expanded my usual trade range considerably since this is new territory (if we ignore everything but the most recent past). I now have some cash set aside should the price cycle back down to more familiar territory. The way things are moving on GENE, I don't have a clue if the next trade I get will be a buy or a sell! :-)
