Kayayer,

1. I'm here incognito, since G&Kers consider playing options to be irresponsible. Heretofore I have agreed, but I've decided that it's less irresponsible than taking on margin, so I'm shedding some margin that I unaccountably acquired and thinking about adding a bit of leverage through QCOM LEAPS instead. (I know that I should really just get off the margin and not add the options, but I'm young and irresponsible and want to set a great example for all by falling flat on my face.) :0)

2. I've read the Roth, and I've started the Bittman. I've also got that video on LEAPS from the CBOE, which I guess I'll watch tonight after the spouse has gone to sleep. (She already thinks I'm obsessed with this stuff, and hearing that I'm considering options will be the last straw.)

3. My goal is to add some leverage to my portfolio without committing too much capital, and I'm extremely bullish about QCOM longterm, so I thought that it would make sense to take a position in the farthest out of the money LEAPS with the farthest out time frame. I suppose it makes sense to wait a few days and get the Jan 2003s, then.

4. Fully understand that G&K can be intimidating to newcomers, and fully expect options to be similar. Hope that the payback of the latter is as great as the payback of the former. <VVVVVVBG>
